Maria Tartaglia obtained her PhD in Science and Technology for the Environment and Health in May 2019 with a thesis entitled 'Analysis of the effects and responses to biotic and abiotic stress of plants grown on soils with biochar'. In the following years, she has further explored multi-omics approaches (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics) in complex matrices such as plant and composite matrices such as environmental ones, developing several ad hoc protocols specific for the analysis of the above-mentioned matrices. She is currently a researcher at the University of Sannio as part of a project aimed at analysing the functional traits and molecular responses of urban forests to climate change.
